Job description

We are looking for a seasoned strategist capable of developing and executing a strategic sales and marketing initiative to help our client, from the sport industries, reaching their goals and become a leading player in their field. Your primary mission :


As Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing sales and marketing strategies for all products, with the goal of ensuring business growth. You will report directly to the General Manager and will oversee all sales and marketing teams.



More specifically, your mandate will consist of managing the following three major points in the sales and marketing sector:


1. Strategies, analyses & forecasts

  • Plan a strategic and competitive analysis of sales and marketing best practices and target relevant information in order to adjust strategic approaches, if need be
  • Implement sales, marketing, and communication development strategies in order to drive the evolution of the company’s growth and positioning
  • Conclude business decisions, including sales/purchase forecasts, according to rigorous macro and micro-economic analyses
  • Participate in executive committee collaborative and democratic meetings


2. Execution and implementation of the strategy (marketing)

  • Turn the strategy into tactical objectives and concrete actions
  • Optimize the strategies and marketing penetration tactics for Rocky Mountain brand in the target market
  • Manage and guide a multisite team in successful sales and marketing activities (Quebec, Vancouver, U.S.)
  • Ensure the execution and alignment of the strategy with regular and thorough monitoring and managing of results
  • Ensure the development and performance of the international distribution network and specialized boutiques in North America
  • Expand market shares by establishing a solid worldwide business network
  • Ensure cohesion between the sales and marketing teams and foster excellent communication with the company as a whole


3. Optimization & restructuration of the sales and marketing department

  • Oversee optimization of sales and marketing procedures in order to ensure efficiency and profitability of internal procedures
  • Support the teams in the implementation and optimization of a new B2B software system
  • Supervise the development of all necessary marketing communication tools
  • Implement key performance indicators and an efficient dashboard and ensure its ongoing use
  • Ensure continuous improvement of services and offers for total customer satisfaction
  • Develop the sales



    Job requirements


    Experience and knowledge :


    • In-depth knowledge of Global Canadian, American and International markets
    • Knowledge of distribution channel management and specialized boutiques
    • Knowledge of B2B and B2B2C commerce
    • Proficiency in Office suite and computer software
    • Knowledge of the sports and/or leisure industries
    • Excellent command of the English language
    • Proficient in French or another language (asset)

      Requirements:

      • 10 years of relevant experience
      • Travel frequently (30% to 40%)
      • The candidate can be based in US or in Canada, remote work is allowed (The head quarter is based in Quebec, Canada)
